My droid 3 has a maximum SD card capacity of 32GB. When I got the phone, the 32GB micro SD cards were more than 2x the price of a 16GB card. I got a 16GB card.
I looked at current prices. Now, the 32GB micro SD cards are only 30%-50% more than the 16GB ones, and the same price I paid 6 months ago.
There’s no need for me to upgrade. I still have spare room, and probably should clean up and delete some stuff. When my contract expires in mid-2013, I’ll probably be getting a 64GB or 128GB memory card! Moore’s law is nice! Computers are one of the least-regulated areas of the economy, enabling rapid progress.
I got a 3TB Seagate external HD in August 2011. However, it’s USB 2.0 and not 3.0. My new PC has a USB 3.0 port. Sometime in the next 6-18 months, 5TB drives should start becoming common. That’s when I’ll upgrade.
