Test Post – There’s A Bug In My CSS!

For my “Reader Mail” posts, I noticed that the formatting was correct when viewed as a single post, but incorrect when viewed on my blog homepage.

I assumed that it was a defect in the rawr plugin, which I use for the “Reader Mail” posts.  I was wrong.  It’s a bug in the CSS for the blockquote tag.  I confirmed it by looking at other posts that used the blockquote tag.

This was a free theme, “simplemarket”, but I’ve had to patch bugs in the CSS.

This post will help me troubleshoot the CSS defect.

Another try

blockquote test 1

blockquote test 2

More:

  1. Numbered list
  2. one
  3. two
  4. three

Another:

  1. Numbered list and blockquote
  2. one
  3. two
  4. three

I don’t have much CSS experience, but I’m going to dig through to try and fix the error.

Very weird: Numbered list ol/li comes out wrong on a single page but OK on the blog homepage. Blockquote is right on a single page but wrong on the blog homepage. I use blockquote much more often than numbered list.
